Live music returns as White Horse Black Mountain hosts second live performance in a year

White Horse Black Mountain will hold its second live performance this evening, welcoming back a select number of customers.

Tonight, March 13, it will be all about Celtic music, with the focus on Scotland.

It's a celebration of St. Patrick's Day, coming up on March 17.

About 50 people will be able to watch and listen in person with all COVID-19 precautions in place.

White Horse's owner said it's a good safe first step.

"I have hopes it's going somewhere good, whether it's going back to how it was, oh, who knows. But moving forward, it's going in the right direction," said owner Bob Hinkle. "I think people are ready to see live music again."

Since last May, the White Horse hosted more than 50 online concerts and performances with plans to continue that virtual option.
