Celebrated Floyd Events Venue Joins Forces with Asheville Company to Promote Bluegrass & BBQ Festival
FLOYD, VA (March 19, 2019) – Chantilly Farm, a premier events venue and camping destination, and HoosierDevil, a company providing many facets of support for artists and events, are excited to announce a marketing partnership to promote the venue’s annual Chantilly Farm Bluegrass & BBQ Festival coming up in May.
Since its founding in 2011, Chantilly Farm has quickly evolved into a regional destination for a variety of festivals and events. In 2015, the 200-acre venue became an official affiliate of Virginia’s Crooked Road Heritage Music Trail, recognized for their significant contributions in promoting and preserving traditional heritage music. The festival has also been a two-time recipient of the Virginia is for Music Lovers grant initiative, sponsored by the Virginia Tourism Corporation.
In its ninth year, the Chantilly Farm Bluegrass & BBQ Festival has caught the attention of fans from around the country by its stellar lineup that is heavy on traditional bluegrass and the preservation of old-time and heritage music, but with more progressive bands also added to the mix. The festival has long served as the official home festival of Mountain Fever recording artist, Southwest Virginia native, and multi-award winner, Junior Sisk.
“It has always been a true honor to call this my home festival,” says Sisk. “Each year they put together a great lineup, and the festival really strives to create a great experience for every single person that comes through the gate. That’s not something you see at every event you attend.”
HoosierDevil, based in Asheville, North Carolina, provides several levels of support to artists and events throughout the Blue Ridge Mountains and beyond. Founded in 2013 by Steve Johnson, the company has worked with an impressive list of clients, including MerleFest, Red Ants Pants Music Festival, Jam in the Trees, the Steep Canyon Rangers, and more. New owner Maggie Rainwater, who purchased HoosierDevil from Johnson at the start of 2019, brings expertise in publicity, promotion, event management, and social media, along with a rich musical heritage. Her grandfather, Jody Rainwater, was a trailblazing member of bluegrass’ first generation, performing with, booking, and promoting shows for Flatt and Scruggs and the Foggy Mountain Boys in the early 1950’s. Today, Jody’s strong work ethic and unwavering passion for music inspire Maggie, through HoosierDevil, to support and promote the music she loves.
“Chantilly Farm’s Bluegrass & BBQ Festival is an event I look forward to every year,” Maggie Rainwater shares, “and I could not be happier for HoosierDevil to have the opportunity to work alongside the Chantilly Farm team. Chantilly treats everyone at the event- staff, volunteers, bands, guests- like family, and the positive, laid-back atmosphere they have cultivated at Bluegrass & BBQ is something truly special. When you combine such good vibes with a beautiful location, a variety of curated vendors, and a stellar lineup featuring the best in bluegrass, old-time, and mountain music, you have a recipe for a spectacular event. I believe the sky is the limit for Chantilly Farm and their Bluegrass & BBQ Festival, and HoosierDevil is delighted to be part of it!”
Chantilly Farm’s Bluegrass and BBQ Festival takes place May 24th and 25th, 2019, at 2697 Franklin Pike in Floyd, Virginia. The lineup features The SteelDrivers, Flatt Lonesome, Lonesome River Band, host artist Junior Sisk, and more. Tickets, camping information, and VIP options can be found at their official site or by calling (540) 808-4984.
